The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in Montana

Today Rick and I took a little trip over to Bozeman. It is about an hour away. They have a bit more shopping and a few more restuarants there. It was nice to get out of the house for a little bit as well and explore the area. We tried a new restuarant for lunch, Old Chicago, good food...bad service (at least this time around). All in all it was a nice little trip.

It was about 13 degrees this morning when we woke up. They had been calling for snow Thursday evening. We must be getting used to the weather because neither of us wore jackets and felt pretty good without. In Bozeman around 5 pm the winds starting picking up and it was getting pretty chilly. We got home around 6:30 and around 7:30 the snow started coming down. Right now the cars and deck are getting a light covering of snow. It is so beautiful to watch. They tell us we cannot eat the snow here because of the mines. I bought a nice pair of gloves today. I need to outfit myself for the cold weather here. Rick already has a lot of warm winter things since he spent a few years in Michigan. I am currently in the market for a nice pair of snow boats and snow pants.

On another note, Rick has a job interview next Tuesday. It is for the county housing department. He would be in charge of their computer labs. There are four altogether. We are hoping to hear some good news.

This weekend my mom and I, as well as some other church ladies will be going to the women's retreat. It is at Fairmont Hot Springs, which is just down the road from us. It is a resort with golf, pools and such. We will be able to go to the pools. Supposedly the hot springs warm the swimming pools. I am intrigued and excited to go. The speaker has some very good topics she will be presenting, so it should be a great conference.

That is about all the news for now. Hope everyone is having a great week. We love you guys!

The weather sounds great...you know how Ryan and I like the cold. The weather can't decide what it's going to do here it's either in the 50's or 80's.
Enjoy the retreat Erika. We love you and miss you both.
